The Transition model advocates forming working groups to investigate lower energy and more resilient solutions for such areas as food, transportation, energy, economy, health, art & culture, water, and heart and soul (psychological and spiritual dimensions of change). Working groups will network with existing groups and organizations, exploring questions such as:
For all those aspects of life that our community needs in order to sustain itself and thrive:
- How do we significantly increase resilience?
- How do we drastically reduce carbon emissions?
- How do we create sustainable local systems, ensure equitable care for everyone and regenerate our environment?
Each group will have their own style of working and their own activities. Eventually they will co-create specific aspects of the Energy Descent Action Plan (EDAP).
Contact info will be posted here as working groups develop. If you’re interested, see the Get Involved page.
